As Saturday's demonstration against U.S. sanctions approaches after months of preparation, the rapid spread of the Coronavirus in NYC and around the U.S. is on everyone's minds. After consultation with numerous forces involved in organizing the event, there is strong consensus that the event should be postponed to a future, to be determined date, given the opportunity large gatherings provide to transmit and contract the virus. This discussion is happening in many cities around the country. Some cities have already decided to go ahead with their events, others to to postpone, and others are still discussing the matter. We hope to set a new date for the action shortly. Please forward this message to your networks to ensure everyone is aware of the postponement. The efforts to build this action have contributed to an increased awareness and understanding of Sanctions and Economic War imposed by the U.S. and its junior partners within the anti-war movement, the media and among working and oppressed people at large. Let's continue to organize until these criminal sanctions are defeated!
